Khajuraho

The tenth century temple complex of Khajuraho in India famous for its sculptures of the human figure in exquisite and explicit form was the inspiration for this body of work.
I visited the site in 2009 and 2011 making drawings and paintings on the spot. Later some of these evolved into a final form as digitally enhanced images.
The Khajuraho ‘Temples of Love’ exhibition was held at the Atlantis Gallery in London in 2012 and gallery 66, Folkestone.
